OMG occasions three!! Get a lifetime nooblets!

Unread postby StevenCao » Wed 17 Oct 2018 1:03 pm

After reading it it seems to me that a few tough core specifics are actually given other than it is visually stunning. Well whoop-dee-dooo! If that is true, those running the show at Jagex have definitely whiffed at yet another pitch for yet another strike RuneScape gold . We've seen visually striking or even magnificent before... within a decade ago... but with content that is not really fun, WHAT'S THE POINT?!?

The post itself made me think of the past when Dungeoneering came out. Was it new? Yup. Was it exciting? Just a small bit. Can it be cool? That all depended on who you were talking to at any given time but many people weren't impressed with it at all after a short period when the reality of the art sunk in. And you have got to be freakin' kidding me! Amount 120? Dungeoneering itself? It was to be nothing more than a pain in the buttocks method of getting a few new items and oh yes, it took a lot of hours to get it done!

What it really amounted to once I looked at it, played with it and saw what was involved... was that skill was nothing greater than a"ability" put into position in order to give all the obsessive/compulsives something to do after they had done everything else to do under the RS sunlight. Would you say... degree 120 anybody?!? I knew you could! The fear at the time was that level 120 was going to become the new norm for all skills but for those people that were still sane and exercised common sense logic, we saw nothing more than an empty shell with a fantastic paint job.

Let us face it... mindless clicking to level up some abilities to 99 was bad enough but if you wanted it then that's what you did. Besides getting some items to flaunt like capes and the like... names... yada-yada-yada... being around the top page of the hi-scores dining table... or about the individual skills tables meant you're"the top" and ought to be worshipped. Or at least be highly considered. BY THE NOOBS THAT IS. Adults knew it was just hours of your real life spent in a match clicking away ad nauseam. Anyone remember Zezima worship? I sure as hell do and that I hate that guy's name after all these years! OMG occasions three!! Get a lifetime nooblets!

The point is that in many ways a number of the abilities became worthless buy RS gold after you attained a certain degree though I shall concede Jagex made some type of effort to change that over the years with fresh content. The idea was to make them fun or for there to be some stage. Observation: a great deal of this content was also pointless or downright stupid! Oops! So much for change. In any case, just because there's new content does not mean it will be fun or worthwhile in a small measure. Additionally, it may just be installed to get uber fast leveling up so that all the crybabies will be pacified. Think Divination skill here... and the main mini-game made for fast leveling. All it was there to do was to allow people to achieve a 99 ASAP. Again I must ask the question... what was the point? Was there ever a point? Not really... and people wonder why so many gamers hang onto and wish for the day when Jagex would knock away the shenanigans and return to RS before the quacked era started... which was right around the period of Construction. The game was really FUN back then aside from cheaters using bots.
